Danbury Grassroots Academy
Founded in 2006, the Danbury Grassroots Academy (DGA) is a free, year-round program serving 55 to 60 at-risk, select students annually, ages 8 to 18. Its mission is to improve the lives of promising students in Danbury emphasizing education, character, tennis, and health. The organization provides students with a disciplined and nurturing environment for mentoring, promoting healthy lifestyles, and building self-esteem.
Connecticut Quest for Peace
Quest for Peace is a nonprofit organization that provides humanitarian aid to the poor of Nicaragua through a variety of initiatives. Its humanitarian cargo aid program delivers gifts directly to needy Nicaragua families, and its education and community programs help improve the global economic outlook by investing in the education of the country’s needy children.
